Lawrence is the Highland Council's Film Officer, offering advice and support to film, television and commercial projects wishing to shoot in the Highlands. His interest in film is also a personal one and he graduated from UEA with an MA in Film History and Film Archiving. Some of his favourite films include: The General (1926), Senso (1954), and Halloween (1978); and he is currently dragging his heels over writing a study of Laurence Olivier's adaptation of Henry V (1944).
