This documentary tells the story of the death of 11 people at the hands of the British Army
on a Catholic estate in Belfast in 1971. It is a massacre that is little-known, yet it’s one of the most significant events of the Troubles. As a fresh inquest opens into the deaths, this film argues that Ballymurphy led directly to the ‘Bloody Sunday’ killings by the same Regiment
just five months later. Director Callum Macrae will be in conversation with Christo Hird.
