(Cert 12A) (1974) (Intro - 15 mins; film - 98 mins; chat - 15 mins)
Dir: Peter Hall
Guest: Rex Pyke
This is an extraordinary film made forty years ago, based loosely on the beautiful book of the same name by Ronald Blythe. The film ”stars” local people from surrounding villages on the Norfolk/Suffolk border. It looks at the changing rural ways that affect the people of Suffolk. A lot of parallels can be drawn here in our communities in the Highlands. Haunting score by Michael Tippet. A must see film! Producer Rex Pyke will be at the screening to talk about the film.
Tickets: £7 Adults; £5 Under 16
