This autobiographical documentary follows the life of a young female journalist through love, marriage and childbirth in war-torn Syria. A beautiful story of strength and struggle during the darkest of times, it follows the choices made by al-Kateab to provide for her newly born daughter, Sama, through the calamitous conflict in Aleppo. It has deservedly won multiple awards since its release, including best documentary at Cannes.
