Jenny Beavan

How wonderful to welcome Jenny to Cromarty! She is a BAFTA and Oscar winning costume designer, famously causing a Twitter storm after being called ‘a bag lady’ by Stephen Fry at the BAFTAs. Jenny has an extraordinary CV which includes Gosford Park, The Remains of The Day, The King’s Speech and Mad Max Fury Road. The film industry is peopled by extraordinary folk who lend their creativity and talent to directors on a daily basis. It is they who make our film industry as vibrant and exciting as it is. Come and hear Jenny talk about how she tells stories with her sewing machine and sketch pads. Come and hear about how she works and watch an example of her work, for which she was nominated for an Oscar, the Robert Altman directed Gosford Park, as well as one of her favourite films La Grande Illusion.
